What is a Government IVA?

An Individual Voluntary Arrangement - IVA is a formal agreement between you and your creditors e.g. credit card debt, money owed to payday lenders, where you will come to an arrangement with people you owe money to, to make reduced payments towards the total amount of your debt in order to pay off a percentage of what you owe then generally after 5 years your debt is classed as settled.

At Government IVA we have access to a range of debt help experts who can find you a debt solution based on your financial circumstances. If an IVA is not suitable for you then another debt help option will be suggested. Due to its formal nature, an Individual Voluntary Arrangement - IVA has to be set up by a licensed professional called an Insolvency Practioner (IP).
